Best Place To Buy Rugs Online
Sharing the best place to buy rugs online plus sharing some neutral pink boho inspired rugs we are considering for our shared girls room
Buying rugs online can be like buying jeans for yourself online without knowing at all how they fit.
Seems impossible, right?
It doesn’t have to be!
Every single rug we have in this house we’ve bought online! Just like this one in Josiah’s room.
And this vintage runner rug that we have (although that view has changed a WHOLE bunch since this photo was taken).
Affordable rugs can be hard to find and when it comes to buying them online, it can make it even harder because if you’re like me, you want it to be budget friendly but also high quality. If I spend money on home decor, I need it to be worth my time and effort.
While searching high and low for some rug options that we want for the girls room, I thought I would share my top sources that I found myself going back to over and over to purchase rugs online
Where is the best budget friendly place to buy rugs?
This post may contain affiliate links which help me pay for things like web hosting, site security, email services and bottles of wine from Aldi when the aforementioned things aren’t working. They cost nothing for you, but help me continue to provide free content to you fine, beautiful people!
Amazon
I like Amazon for rugs because you can get them quick with Prime, obviously, but people also post their own photos and reviews so you can get a feel for what it may look like in your own space, whether you need a rug pad, that kind of deal. Amazon reviews can be savage and I’m here for it.
Rugs USA
My favorite thing about area rugs from Rugs USA? Not only is the shipping super fast, but things are very rarely out of stock – even the most popular ones! Not only that, but they ALWAYS have sales. And I truly do mean always.
The only thing I don’t love is their selection is just so huge, it really can get overwhelming if you’re not 100% sure what you’re looking for. Hand tufted? Vintage rugs? Hand woven? WHO KNOWS?! There’s just so many to choose from. Eek.
My new favorite feature of these guys is that they just recently came out with a line of washable rugs (a la Ruggable rugs) and I actually like some of their patterns a lot better and the prices seem lower as well!
Wayfair
Wayfair has a huge selection of rugs and so honestly, I get a little overwhelmed unless I know exactly what I’m looking for.
One other negative I’ve found is that several times when I’ve gone to look for a specific rug, it’s on backorder. Like the one we wanted for the girls room.
Pricier options
I’m going to be honest and say that I have fallen head over heels in love with rugs from Crate and Barrel (like this one), West Elm (like this one), and countless ones from Pottery Barn (like this one), but the truth is I know how we live and with little kids, I just can’t justify spending a crap ton of money on a rug that’s going to be covered in crumbs and stuff spilled on it.
I’m also a big fan of World Market rugs because they don’t have too huge of a selection, so I get overwhelmed less. But they’re still a bit pricier than my top 3 fave places.
Regardless, the reason I love a rug so much is because it pulls together a room and without changing any decor pieces you have, you can create an entirely different look with one piece.
Oh! And while I have you, here’s some rugs I’m trying my darndest to decide between for the girls room!
I enjoyed this- thank you for sharing! As for favorites- I love the three in the center column. The top one to me says “elegant princess” while the second and bottom row centers seem more playful. I have two boys, so I won’t be buying any girly rugs, but I love seeing the pink!
Thank you! I’m leaning towards one of those 3 actually!! That’s super helpful feedback about them being playful 🙂 TOTALLY agree!
