My plan here is to share a little bit of things that are going on in our lives outside of just the normal home DIY renovation stuff. Hopefully you’ll enjoy and kick up your feet. If not, just don’t come here on Fridays.
As you can probably tell from our lack of completion on our guest bathroom, we are a busy folk. So, what I thought I would do is start doing a series of posts on Fridays to talk a little bit about what’s going on behind the scenes over here with the Smiths. That way, y’all can get to know me and maybe I won’t seem like a robot with insanely good humor on the other side of your computer screen.
Expect here to see recommendations, places we’ve gone (you know, like the grocery store or Target), cool things I’ve found, or just useless information you can’t live without I’m sure. This may change of evolve over time since I’m NOT going to paint myself in a box.
So, without further adieu, let’s get in to it:
- Target right now has 30% off their patio and outdoor furniture. We got this sofa and armchair set last year and let me tell you, I LOVE it! We are currently working on a little outdoor refresh to hopefully reveal soon and we will be keeping my eye out from anything in this sale we can use.
- SPEAKING OF BACK PORCH REFRESH – BIRDS!!!! You guys! So, I was trying to get some “before” shots and took this shot to try to make sure my angle was where I wanted it before I moved it:What? You mean you don’t have backer board on your back porch? Whatever. Anyway, so then I moved it:Do you guys see that mound of what looks to be like a rats nest?? IT IS NOT! LOOK!!!!Well, I guess our refresh is going to be on pause until these little things become peeping little hungry baby birdies!!!!
- I’ve always wanted a milk frother. I don’t even really know why, but I just have. I found this little babe on Amazon for about NOTHING and I love him. I use him every day and he is my squishy and I love him.
- Marco Polo – Okay, so I totally made fun of my BFF for the better part of a year because of this app. It’s like video messaging so you can basically talk face to face without having to be on FaceTime in case you can’t answer at the moment.
A couple weekends ago, we were lucky enough to get to attend the Choose Joy Event which was held in Georgia for the very first time since the conference began and it was AMAZING. I’ll let you guys read more about the conference itself if you’re interested, but let’s just say it was exactly what Jordan and I needed to move forward with plans to grow our family. More to come on that a bit later maybe 😉
That’s all for now! Hope you enjoyed this and don’t fret, if you can’t tell from the pictures here, I am NOT a lifestyle blogger and will NOT be swinging the pendulum that way. Just tryna keep it real over in these streets on this blog.
