7 Jolly Christmas Kitchen Decor Ideas
Admittedly, when we redid the kitchen, I was so excited to decorate her all up for Christmas.
And because I am who I am as a person, I never really did.
Cute kids tablescape that was wrecked as soon as the photos were done? Sure.
Fairly nicely decorated Christmas tree even with a very busy toddler Collins? Of course.
But nothing ever crossed over into the kitchen. But it doesn’t mean I don’t wanna do it one day! So here’s some Christmas kitchen inspo from me to you to hopefully inspire us both.
Mini Wreaths on Cabinets
I’ve always loved the look of mini wreaths with velvet ribbons on cabinet doors. Stick with box wreath type greenery or eucalyptus for a vibe that’s subtle, yet fresh. It adds a bit of holiday spirit without overwhelming your space.
Festive Dish Towels
And dare I say, snarky ones. Things that say sassy things is what I’m talking about.
Or okay fine, you can just try subtle holiday patterns, like plaid or minimalist tree designs, preferably in calming whites, greens, and golds. It’s a low-key way to say “I love Christmas” without screaming it from the rooftop.
Or you can totally scream. Whatever, nothing matters anymore, amirite?
Holiday Coffee or Cocoa Station
Okay, so I definitely did my own makeshift version of a DIY hot cocoa station before we renovated our kitchen.
We had like 2 kids at the time and only 1 cared anything about making hot cocoa and the novelty wore off quickly.
It’s pretty simple though. Gather festive mugs, candy canes, marshmallows, and cutesy storage jars for cocoa and tea. Voila!
Seasonal Greenery in Vases
Again, another easy one.
Swap your regular flower displays for greenery like pine branches, holly, or cedar sprigs.
Or you can get some faux ones because there are some great options out there and that way you won’t have to worry about watering anything.
Christmas-Themed Cutting Boards
Incorporate cutting boards with Christmas shapes (think trees or snowflakes) or designs.
If you’re not using them for your Christmas charcuterie then you can just prop them up in your kitchen for display for it to do double duty.
Simple Bowl of Ornaments
Sensing a pattern here? I’m all about the path of least resistance.
Fill a large bowl or tray with monochromatic ornaments and greenery for a chic centerpiece.
It’s minimal effort for maximum impact and that’s about all I have time for these days.
Christmas Plaid Table Runner
Eat your Christmas roast best in style with a plaid table runner. It ties the room together and shouts “I’m festive but make it low-key”.
Whether your kitchen is crying for a full makeover of nutcrackers in every single corner or just a sprinkle of holiday pizzazz, these ideas will have your space looking and feeling merry.
