We have both a deck and a screened in porch on our house.

The screened in porch is what sold me on the house, but it’s a little bit in shambles after our kitchen renovation since we closed in our bay window.

Metal firepits are great for producing heat that radiates around the space while keeping embers and fire inside a broad bowl.

If you’ve got little ones around, you’ll definitely want a cover of some sort and also teach them rules for being around fire.

A simple curved bench on your deck can also provide plenty of seating for cozy gatherings with the fam.

This is from a ski chalet and it’s making me drool right now thinking of the potential of mountain house.

I love that this is the perfect mix of modern and cozy and the fire runs down the center of the table so that you can still feel the heat without feeling like it’s all in your face.
