The Best Solution For Formula Fed Babes
Find out why I think the Primo® First Steps Bottom-Loading Water Dispenser is the best solution when you have formula fed babes!
After sharing with y’all on Instagram about my idea for a makeshift coffee bar in our house, you want to know the most asked question was?
Why did we have three coffee makers in our house?
Well, in my defense, the one in the middle isn’t a coffee maker, even though I refer to it as the baby Keurig. It’s a bottle maker for our sweet boy Josiah. Truthfully, there is so much that I love about it, but a couple things I don’t.
One is that it just feels cluttered on the counter. “Well, then get rid of one of your other coffee makers,” I hear you all say. No. And in fact, if you recall in my idea for our new coffee station, we’re going to be getting another coffee maker to replace my current teal Keurig.
The other thing I don’t love about the baby bottle maker featured on my counter is just the fact that we have approximately 4290238940 water bottles in our house at all times.
The honest truth is that I would have loved to been able to provide him with donor breastmilk and we even tried some, but he has a very sensitive tummy and so we have to buy him the sensitive formula.
We got ourselves a “bougie baby”. But his hair makes up for it and I’m alright with that.
All that to say, when I had the chance to work with Primo® and try out their new First Steps Bottom-Loading Water Dispenser, I geeked out and jumped at the chance.
Who is Primo and what’s so great about them?
The main reason? They work to help families drink more water, better water every day because Primo® is one decision towards a lifetime of health. They care about everyone in the family from the littles to the non-littles.
My husband and I eat Keto because it’s what is best for our health and was actually recommended to me to do by my reproductive endocrinologist.
However, I will tell you I don’t necessarily love to drink water (Where my soda people at? Can I get a what what?) BUT since we want to stay around a while and provoke good habits to our babes, Primo has helped us with that!
They are the home drinking water solution that is proven to help people drink more water, while taking a stand against potentially unsafe tap water.
The water you mix your baby bottles with is just as important as the formula. Luckily with Primo, their water has gone through a multi-step purification process that eliminates any harmful substances to ensure you’re drinking high quality, safe water that you can trust.
Don’t take my word for it though – if you’re a little bit of a science nerd like me, you should read all about their purification process here.
What’s also great about the Primo® First Steps Bottom-Loading Water Dispenser is that it has a warm water dispensing option supplying water at 98.6-104 degrees Fahrenheit which is specially designed for mixing baby formula.
You mean it’s doing my work for me and helps eliminate clutter on my counters?! Sign me up.
My favorite parts of the Primo® First Steps Bottom-Loading Water Dispenser
Ease of setup and installation
There is no setup. I wish you could have seen me giggle as I pulled this thing out of the box. No tools or nothin’, and it came with a couple manuals and some cute magnets but literally all you have to do is plug it in. No plumbing or installment required.
It also came with this! How cute is this baby feeding schedule? See, it really is true that Primo cares about the kind of water anyone in the house is drinking, even the tiniest of the tinies.
Or your 25 pound 7 month old. Whatever, either way.
It’s dry erase and magnetic so you can easily keep track of how and when the babe eats. My first favorite thing was this of course:
Y’all know your girl loves a bargain. They sell a 3 and a 5 gallon water bottle option (sold separately) but they do everything they can to set you up for success!
To load this thing is a breeze. When I saw that the dispenser itself weighed 47 pounds I was real nervous about how I was also going to heave a big 5 gallon bottle of water into it, but this has a super easy way to load this water in with it’s bottom-loading design.
All you have to do is open this door, slide this bottle in, and voila! Like magic. Water without arsenic in it. Holla!
A family affair
Char absolutely loved this part. At almost 4, she thinks helping in any way is still fun. (Please tell me this will be forever and she will always want to help and not yell at me about it or if that’s not the case, don’t crush my dreams please)
We took her to go pick out the Primo water bottle and even though they were all exactly the same, because we bought the one “she” picked out, she was so pumped about it.
Primo is the only brand that delivers best in class dispensers for the home + bulk water either exchange or refill water.
All you have to do is hit up your local retailer and in seconds, you can exchange your empty bottle for a full one to make sure your entire family has easy and safe access to clean drinking water.
Another great option? Char can use this BY HERSELF y’all. And she thinks she’s a dang rockstar.
“No, mama I can do it.”
Okay then, I will remain on this couch watching my crime shows while you do that, you little self-sufficient sweetie.
I love that Jordan gets plenty of hands on time making bottles too. Not that he didn’t before – he’s a huge help. But let’s be real – the easier things are for dads, the better. Let’s help set them up to win here!
Clean and safe
Remember I said earlier that it has the warm water feature? Well, it also will dispense icy cold water or BOILING water.
But don’t fret – that piping-hot water has child-resistant safety feature so curious little fingers don’t become curious little third-degree-burned-bandaged-up-in-a-hospital fingers.I’m telling y’all, they really did consider everyone when they made this.
So, because it’s able to dispense that piping hot water, it actually has a feature inside that allows self-sanitizing. It boils water in the warm water reservoir to ensure quality before it dispenses it.
This dispenser will grow with our needs, as the options for icy cold and hot water are also part of this station. Little girl and daddy and mama like the cold water, little Bubby needs his warm for his bottles at the moment.
The Primo is super easy to clean, which is important to me. I don’t like having something that functions well but is obnoxious to clean.
This dispenser has a removable dishwasher-safe drip tray and a super easy to clean surface. I just spray a little of my favorite cleaner on a microfiber cloth and wipe it down.
All that to say, I hope you trust me enough when I say that this thing is awesome and I can’t wait to keep using it and letting Char feel like she’s a hot shot. She’s real cute when she does that.
We just won’t tell her it’s healthy because she might change her mind about liking it.
Don’t wait- give everyone access to safe, great-tasting Primo® water today with the First Steps Bottom-Loading Water Dispenser. This dispenser will grow with a family’s needs!
