Guest Bathroom Before Tour
If it seems like things have slowed down a bit over here, they have. Quite frankly, we’re not taking on any more huge projects knowing that this guest bathroom reno is coming in hot. However, I did feel as if it may be a good idea to show you guys before photos. Not even real sure if you want to see them, but it’s what you signed up for, k? Can’t appreciate some after photos without the before, right?
Also, do y’all have ANY idea how hard it is to photograph a small bathroom with a weird layout well??? Answer. SO HARD. Anyhoo, here we go, party peeps:If you’re standing in the doorway, this is what you’ll see. Oh, hey, tripod and camera. PTL for timers and remotes for cameras, AMIRITE?! I’m sure there is a way to Photoshop this out, but, THIS IS REAL LIFE OKAY?
We will be trying to convert this into a double vanity here and changing out the light fixture above which you can’t see in these pictures, but you can see here where we talked about projects for 2018. Oh. And I guess we might add some light switch covers. I REALLY want this wall to go, but truthfully, it’s probably either going to have to totally stay or be at least a pony wall, so whatever.
This shot is showing the toilet and shower. This is if you were standing with the vanity to your immediate right side.
We want to find something way cuter for toilet paper storage and maybe actually hang our Teeny Picasso’s painting instead of just letting it chill on the back of the pot.
There’s another shot. There’s just a regular old tub behind there. Nothing fancy. You get the idea.
It’s a wonky layout and feels real tight.
Also, not sure if you can tell but that toilet is like SIX FEET HIGH. Maybe not really, but when I go to sit on it, my legs barely bend. The problem is the tot can’t ever get herself on the potty if she can’t even climb on it. AND Shaquille O’Neal only comes once a year and it’s just not worth it to have a potty JUST for him. Imagine you’re sitting on the SONP (Shaquille O’Neal Potty, obvi) and this is the view you’d see.
Flooring is going, pocket door and light switch covers are coming, and cute nekkid beebee pictures are definitely staying. May get rearranged, but they’re my favorite.
That’s all I got for y’all today. Now, I’m going to go try to find something else I can accomplish in the meantime that won’t cost us much since we’re pinching every penny for this bad boy.
