Your Favorite Posts: 2021
I always love sharing the content YOU guys want to see and here are your favorites from the past year!

ROUNDUP
Your 2021 Favorite Posts
Here’s to hoping this year is not a frigging disaster dumpster fire like the last two, am I right?
I’m here for you and so one of my favorite things to do before we share our house plans for the upcoming year is to let you know which projects you guys seemed to really love and the ones that brought us the most traffic.
Since we are bringing terrible fashion back, I thought I would take a cue off of a blast from the past – MySpace – and give you your very own “Top 8”.
Here are your top 8 favorite posts of 2021
8. DIY Samsung The Frame TV Hack
This one actually was super frustrating at first because we were trying to do this DIY Samsung The Frame TV with lattice wood to make it thinner and it just didn’t work.
However, once the kinks were worked out, we were able to get it to work and it was SO easy and I’m so pleased!
7. DIY Abstract Art
This is actually the sister project that made up a large part of our entire playroom makeover.
I had seen this technique to create abstract art before and wanted to see if it was as easy as I had hoped and IT WAS! We plan on definitely doing this one again.
6. Ikea Rast Hack
Admittedly, I was a little sad that our shared girls’ room reveal didn’t make the top 8 (or even just their feature wall) because it was definitely one of my favorites for the year.
But it did make me smile definitely seeing this Ikea rast hack project we did in their closet make it! I’m still super pleased with, again, how easy this project was and how big of an impact it makes in their room both visually and functionally.
5. Floor and Decor Tile Ideas
This one shocked me. Of course I hope everything I write is helpful (or at least funny) in some way, I didn’t think as many of you guys would find this useful as you did!
When we were working on bathroom designs for our first flip house, we wanted them to feel like a spa, even though they were smaller! Floor and Decor tile was able to help us get exactly that and the way the small bathroom reveals turned out were exactly like we imagined!
4. Sherwin Williams Sea Salt
We have this color in our primary bedroom as well as our newly refreshed playroom and so I broke this color down and talked about its undertones, what it pairs well with, and why we love it so much for a neutral paint color in our house!
3. Blue Christmas Decoration Ideas
Talk about a last minute post. After considering not even decorating for Christmas again this year, I was considering doing a blue Christmas themed tree after seeing all of these.
And still didn’t do it. Went totally rogue instead after finding ribbon from Michael’s that completely changed my ideas for our Christmas tree this year!
Apparently a TON of you guys loved this idea of a blue Christmas tree as much as I did.
2. Stunning Kitchen Design Ideas
Seeing this as one of your favorites was definitely bittersweet for me.
Sweet because of course I’m glad to know these stunning kitchens were as inspirational to you as it was to me, but also bitter because we were supposed to have our kitchen done before Collins was born, then shortly after she was born….and yet….here we sit. Same old kitchen.
But I’m hoping I’ll be singing a different tune this time next year and I’ll get to revisit this post myself as we design our new kitchen! Please send all the love and positive vibes and prayers you can muster.
And your top favorite post of the year was…..
Dark green paint colors!
So I guess technically you guys sort of had our girls’ nursery accent wall in your hearts because I wrote this when we were trying to nail down the final color for their shared room and it seems many of you are on the hunt for dark green paint colors as well!
In this post, you can find the top ones I narrowed it down to and what they look like in real spaces!
There ya go! I’m SO HAPPY to know that you guys are getting value out of what I write on here. It’s what keeps me going.
Even though I keep my comments turned off on my blog because of weird creepers I don’t want to police, if there’s ever anything you want to see on here, my email family always gets a heavy weigh in! Plus I’m not annoying and try to make you giggle in every email I send. Or at least blow air through your nose forcefully.
Happy New Year, fam!
